As the summer heat begins to take a firm grip around the throat of Korea, drinking beer on patios is no longer a mere preference. It’s a mandatory code of culture that needs to be adhered to, just like the slight bowing of one’s torso when greeting your Korean drinking companions. Here are 3 finds near Garosugil that should be worth a sit down and throw back of at least one brew.
A great British/neon-themed setting with an even better patio known for patrons who like to swill Stella or Paulaner Grapefruit, while people-watching the crowds converging to Garosugil, the pulsating street of trends and dining in Seoul’s Gangnam district.
Duke of 20th Century
In the same neck of the woods of northern Garosugil as Red Cloud, you can find another pub with British leanings, to the point where they even tout that their fish and chip recipe hails from one of London’s oldest pubs.
Although their Yeouido location has been around for a bit longer and has attracted ample fanfare, the cozy patio of Big Sale near the south end of Garosugil shouldn’t put you off, as they certainly make up for it with their BBQ platters.
