Since 2006, Groove Korea has been a leading offline magazine in Korea that has been at the forefront of providing enlightening and essential English content geared to expats living in Korea or tourists visiting from abroad. Groove Korea recently celebrated its 100th issue this month, however, they are now beginning to roll out some major changes and enhancements to the magazine’s format and identity.
In pursuit of these big changes, Groove Korea is seeking to hire select talent to take on new positions within the magazine. Whether you already have a regular job and are seeking a creative outlet or are looking to fit some paid work into your current routine, Groove Korea might be well suited for you.
Groove is currently seeking:
–Section Editors (paid part-time positions) to oversee and manage content developers and development for Food & Drink section and Community section. The section editor sets the direction and tone of their section from story assignments to copy editing. Those who have past publishing, team management and/or are creative visionary types will be preferred. Most importantly, you must be able to handle deadlines.
–Writers who are interested in seeing their words become published. Those who have a history of past published work will be preferred, but we’re open to exploring and grooming new talent. –Photographers who have their own gear or are at least technically savvy to know how to adapt to and shoot in situations with low light. Email us your online portfolio or some samples of past work.
–Support staff who may be interested in playing some critical behind-the-scene roles, such as translation/interpretation support for our foreign writers, distribution support, sales support, etc…Send us a resume if you feel you’ve got something to contribute and let us know how much time you might be able to contribute in any given week, and we’ll work on finding a role for you.
