Famed food blogger Dan Gray started this place along with the help of some friends and old school chicken recipes from ajummas who know the business of chicken in Korea. We’ll leave the rest of the intro to their new place to how they chose to put it:
So Daniel Gray, food guide extraordinaire and righteous blogger from Seouleats.com had a dream. A dream that would take him all over Korea to discover all the best fried chicken places and the sauces or them. He learned from chefs and home cooks; from big restaurants and small hole-in-the-wall shops. Over the years, he discovered the secrets to Korean fried chicken and the sauces and he shared these secrets with other traveling epicureans and they rejoiced. However, the watery Korean beer such as Cass, Hite, and Max did not complement the excellent flavor of the chicken. He then found a new dream: to pair robust local craft beers with his awesome chicken. He found others with this dream such as Tom, the large. Dan taught what he knew to Tom the Large who hailed from the realm of New Zealand. They studied under the ninja tutelage of Korean fried chicken master grandmas in order to make their awesome recipes that would make the chicken crispy, flavorful and juicy. They studied further to master Korean chicken sauces that are made from scratch. Dan and his friends then worked hard and toiled to convert an old dilapidated hanok into a new place of Korean fried chicken and craft beer. After many days of toiling it was complete. Hence, Brew 3.15 Korean Fried Chicken and Craft Beers was born and the people rejoiced.
