There are many tempting things that can grace a Korean dinner table and allow you to stay warm during the cooler months. But if you happen to be in the Hongdae area, it’s certainly worth a warm visit to Sangu-dong’s “Fire Poker“. In Korean, the restaurant is called 부지깽이 (Literally named after the red-hot poker that people use to prod/stoke a fire and its embers) and Korean foodies are raving about their Hanwoo Tteokgalbi. Essentially, these are thick patties of Korean minced beef, served alongside a sprawling table of Korean side dishes. But perhaps the best part is how affordable it is.
