I need some tips to glam up as the season of exposure is approaching rather fast.
The past weekend, I actually got out and tried to something I would’ve never imagined myself doing…getting beauty tips at the Daegu Beauty Expo. Well, I had press passes so, why not take the advantage?
There were tips on nail care, skin care, hair, and makeup. Getting all this was just for the experience…free! At first I saw a line of people getting things done. I thought I would have to pay for everything that I get done but it turned out it was a free experience. Also, I got advice on things that I need for my skin to make it clean and clear. I went through various tests and then they gave me tips on what would fit my skin type. Not only that, but I also got an awesome massage. Something that would have been sky-high expensive for me to get if I got it done outside of the expo, it was all for free. It was definitely a great experience!
I was never into makeup and taking care of my skin until I started to realize my age. I knew that the rays from the sun aren’t good for my skin (or anyone’s skin) but it was one of those things that I just kept in my head and not carried out. I learned about the dangerous effects I would get when I don’t protect myself from the sun and other surrounding pollution. With a bit of counseling, I am prepared for summer and all the outdoor activities that come along with it.
After the expo, I walked out with a whole new me, facially. I also had an exciting time watching the makeup art show. The hairpieces and the painting done on the faces of the models were amazing. MAC also went through the highlights of the new trends for this season. I was always horrible with my eye makeup, but with the help of these specialists I am got a bit better. Now, I just have to practice to perfect it. Did you know that makeup styles differ from person to person? I didn’t. I thought trends were meant for everyone. MAC makeup artists gave tips that was customized to my face and told me what fits my facial feature while staying with the trend for this season.
A downside of this expo was the amount of people. I didn’t expect THAT many people to be present but it was a lot of people, mainly females. I think I would’ve enjoyed it a bit more if there were less people. But, then again, everyone else is there for the same reason as I was…seeing what’s up this season. For those who missed it this year, I recommend going again next year…as long as you are okay being at crowded places.
