Yangpyeong Strawberry Festival will give a chance for anyone and everyone to pick fresh strawberries.
The Yangpyeong Strawberry Festival is held from February to May this year. Visitors can pick their own strawberries from participating strawberry farm villages. Participation in a variety of activities and programs within the village gives an extra reason to visit the festival. But, reservation is required for the strawberry picking experience. The Strawberry Festival differentiates itself from other food oriented festivals. Yangpyeong would like to take the chance for visitors to get away from the bustling city and out into the rural area for some quality time with nature and whomever you are going with.
Yangpyeong is located in the middle of the Korean peninsula with several mountains surrounding the area. This place is also closed in by the Namhangang and Bukhangang River. The Strawberry Festival started in 2010 in order to spread the word of their proud strawberry fields. Yangpyeong, also, hopes to spread the agricultural awareness of the region. The festival also includes strawberry soap making, strawberry dumpling making, small carnival rides, riding tractor trains, and making rice cakes are among many of the experiences and exhibitions that can be done and seen by visitors.
