KNN Walseok Art Hall presents the works of Mario Testino through his photo exhibition in Korea.
Mario Testino, the Peruvian fashion photographer, has his work featured in top fashion magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair. Now, he has his work featured on a larger scale at KNN Walseok Art Hall in Busan. Testino received the big spotlight when Diana, Princess of Wales, chose him to shoot her for Vanity Fair in 1997. Ever since this, he has been asked to shoot the British royal family for all occasions. Along with the royal family, photographs of familiar celebrities are shown in their most fashionable status. Kim Basinger, Kristen Stewart, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan, and Madonna can all be seen at this special exhibition.
In 2002, The National Portrait Gallery in London exhibited Testino’s works and it is said to be the second most successful exhibit. In 2011, Mario Testino was awarded as an Honorary Fellowship by The Royal Photographic Society. On October 19, 2013, “Private View” by Mario Testino opened at the Seoul Art Centre. Seoul’s exhibition has continued onto Busan. If you missed the exhibition in Seoul, take a vacation to Busan to catch it before it leaves for other countries. A total of 86 of Testino’s most celebrated photographs makes a mark as some of the most remarkable images. The exhibition will run until February 28 from 11 AM to 9 PM. The hall also has audio guides available for rental. Audio guides explain the photographs in more detail for better understanding and appreciation of each photograph. Why read about it when you can visually see it with your own eyes? A picture is worth a thousand words, as the old saying goes.
