Wolfgang Puck in Atlantic City, NJ at the Borgata Hotel does not meet up to the standards as?much as the prices show.
This is my very first post on reviews! Yay! I am so excited but I can’t say the same for the restaurant that I ate last night. My girlfriends and I went to Atlantic City for one of my friend’s “Bachelorette Party.” Overall, the hotel and the service at the Borgata was satisfying but the food they serve at the restaurant was not. As much as I love to eat, this goes the same with most of my friends. We have heard many great reviews about Wolfgang Puck and how it is a fine dining franchise. The only thing satisfying about the restaurant was their service and staff.
The Food: The price range for the?main course?were about $31 to almost $60. I ordered the quail. When the food came out, visually, it was amazing! There is a saying in Korea that says, “What looks good tasts better!” Thinking of this saying, I immediately sank my teeth into the limb. It wasn’t to the point where I wanted to spit it back out, but it was just too salty. The sauce would’ve been better if they didn’t go crazy on the sodium. As many of the readers may have tried and know the taste of soy sauce, the sauce that the quail was marinated in tasted like salt and a lot of soy sauce poured all over it. I thought this was the case for just my dish, but it seemed to be the same for all of the other main course meals that were served. To vary the plates on the table, all of us got different dishes to try. The serving portions were big but the marinated sauce for all of the dishes tasted the same. It is either the specific Wolfgang Puck we went to had a new cook or the brand just loves soy sauce. As you can see the pictures, they all look delicious. The best part of the meal was their drinks and
coffee that they served. At a such a “high-end” restaurant, the quality of the food was worse than a Chipotle down the street.
Rating on the 5 star basis, I give this restaurant a 4 for service and 2 for food. I would’ve preferred to have eaten the fast food they served at the food court.
