I’ve been living in Korea for about four years now and I have had Korean food for at least one of my meals throughout my stay. I never really got “bored” of “sick of” Korean food, but I thought I would never miss it. It has been almost a week since I have been back in the U.S.A. and I have to admit, I miss it. I have had my fixes on all of the American food that I missed for the last couple of years but eating all of those dishes once was enough.
I never realized how I got used to having rice and kimchijjigae or any soup/stew with my meal. Don’t get me wrong, American food is still good and fulfilling but I can’t say that I’m 100 percent satisfied. With that said, I finally went to a Korean restaurant today with my hope up high. It was great that I finally got a mouthful of rice and stew but the price and taste was not all there. All hands down, Korean food is better in Korea.
As popular as Korea is getting these days, I’m sure that there are many Korean restaurants or Korean food popping up in all places over the world. After trying the Korean food in America, I start to wonder if other places of the world are not as good as the original Korean food served in Korea. Of course, I can’t say every single restaurant in Korea serves good Korean food, but in general, it is better than any other Korean food that is served in other countries. To my fans, do you eat Korean food in your country? Have you tried Korean food in Korea? If so, please comment your comparison. I would love to know how others think about this.
