Korea’s longest gimbap at Suseong Festival!
The quiet metropolitan city starts to awake after a long sweaty summer with Suseong Festival from September 27 to September 29 near Suseong Lake, Deulangil and Suseong Artpia. Last year, there were several events such as “Making 1㎞ Gimbap”, “Storytelling Performance”, “Korean Dance Festival” (all dance genres) and “Chorus Contest.” Each feature of the festival is specially customized just for this festival and performances you will not be able to see anywhere else. Especially the big hit of “Making 1km Gimbap” brings 7 bags of rice, and 10,000 pieces of seaweed and a lot more participants to work together. Deulangil also offers one of Daegu’s most finest dining. During the festival they offer some special discounts along with free food! After participating in the gimbap making or just strolling around the lake, anyone could take a bite. This year there will be ‘Making 1020m Gimbap’ at 14:00~17:00 on September 28. It will be recorded in the Korean Guinness Book of Records as the longest gimbap. There will be various ‘amateur art performances’ on three main stages for 3 days. On the last day, there will be a “Music Fountain Show” and fireworks as part of the closing ceremony for the festival.
